When you commit to a car lease, you’re signing up to drive the same car for the duration of the policy. If that car no longer suits your needs, cancelling the contract can mean paying a hefty fee. This fee is often referred to as an early termination charge. It's essential to review your lease agreement carefully to understand any potential fees associated with early termination before deciding to end your lease early.

Cancelling Your Subscription With Wagonex

However, it’s important to note that as a marketplace, our cancellation policies may vary depending on the vehicle you choose.

The specifics of your cancellation fees and notice periods will be outlined in your contract. As we partner with various suppliers, each contract may differ slightly, so be sure to review yours carefully.

Swapping Cars With Wagonex

At Wagonex, we believe in providing flexibility for life's twists and turns. Before deciding to cancel, why not take a moment to explore what we have to offer? You might discover a car that's a better fit for your needs.

To make swapping your vehicle hassle-free, we suggest giving us plenty of notice, ideally at least a week. This time frame ensures our partners can smoothly deliver your new car and handle any remaining tasks related to your previous subscription.

If I Swap Vehicles, What Happens With My Insurance? 

If you took out your insurance through our insurance partner Veygo by Admiral, you must let us know about the change of vehicle by emailing so that we can issue you with new insurance documents. The price may change depending on the type of vehicle you get next. 

If you decide to purchase insurance from elsewhere, you will need to contact your insurer to see if you’re able to change the vehicle on your policy. If you aren’t able to update the insurance policy, you must ensure that you have a new policy to cover your new vehicle and contract length.


What Happens at the End of My Subscription? 

As your subscription draws to a close, whether you're reaching the natural end of your contract or opting for an early cancellation, we’re here to help with the process. 

If you're approaching the end of your contract term and wish to return your vehicle, submit a return request via your online profile at least two weeks before your contract ends.

Should you decide to cancel your subscription and return your vehicle before the contract's initial end date, keep in mind that cancellation charges may apply, depending on your subscription's length and the supplier's terms. You can contact us at 020 3002 0976 or at to help with your cancellation. 

Once your request is received, the supplier will coordinate the vehicle's return and conduct a BVRLA fair wear and tear check to assess its condition. Your deposit will then be refunded accordingly, with any applicable deductions outlined in your contract for damage, cleaning, excess mileage, or excessive wear and tear. 

Some of our suppliers may charge a collection fee but this is dependent on the vehicle you take out. If you’re a Wagonex customer you can check your contract for collection fee details.
