Flexible Short Term Contract Hire in the UK

Vehicle subscription is a flexible, short-term alternative to traditional leasing. It sits between renting a vehicle for a few days or weeks and leasing one for a longer term, typically 24–36 months.

It’s ideal if you need a vehicle for more than a few weeks but don’t want to commit to a two or three-year lease.

Leasing suits drivers who are happy to commit for longer. You pay an initial payment, then a fixed monthly amount for the length of the contract, typically 24 to 48 months, and hand the car back at the end. Subscription sits between short-term rental and leasing: more flexible than a lease, better value than renting for weeks at a time.

It comes down to how long you need a car and how much flexibility you want. If your plans could change, you’re between jobs or locations, you’re trying out an EV, or you simply need a car for a few months, subscription gives you the freedom to drive without a long-term tie-in. If you know exactly what you need for the next few years and want the lowest monthly cost, leasing could be the better fit.
